Focus Areas

What We Help With

Teen hypnotherapy may support practical skills - focus, calm, confidence - and healthier behavior change. We keep it structured and respectful, with tools your teen can use day to day.

Hypnotherapy is complementary and evidence-informed. It does not replace emergency care, medical treatment, or psychological treatment. If you’re unsure whether it’s appropriate, the Discovery Consultation is the right place to clarify fit, safety, and scope.

Confidence & Self-Esteem

Support steadier self-talk, healthier confidence, and better performance under pressure at school and in social settings.

Stress, Anxiety & Sleep

Teach regulation skills: downshifting worry, calming the body, strengthening wind-down routines, and managing school pressure.

Focus & Habits

Support focus and follow-through - screen habits, procrastination patterns, motivation, and healthier routines.

  • Test nerves and performance anxiety
  • Public speaking confidence
  • Emotional resilience and coping skills
  • Social confidence and peer pressure
  • Sleep onset and winding down
  • Unwanted habits (age-appropriate)

The process

What to Expect

Sessions are structured and practical. We combine guided hypnosis with coaching and skill-building, so your teen leaves with tools to practice between sessions.

Discovery Consultation

We clarify goals, safety, scope, and what support is most appropriate. For clients under 18, parent/guardian consent is required.

A respectful session style

Teens are treated like young adults: clear communication, collaboration, and appropriate privacy. Hypnosis is guided attention, not sleep, and your teen remains aware and in control.

Skill-building between sessions

Your teen practices simple tools (breathing, mental rehearsal, attention skills, routines, and self-hypnosis practice) in a way that fits school and family life.

Review & adjust

We review what’s helping, what still feels difficult, and what to adjust, keeping the plan practical and realistic for your teen.

Hypnotherapy supports skill-building and emotional regulation. It is not a substitute for emergency care, medical treatment, or psychological treatment.

Safety & scope

Safety & Scope

This service is for teens ages 12+. Teen hypnotherapy is used as a complementary, skills-based approach, supporting focus, calm, confidence, sleep routines, and healthier habits. It does not replace medical care or mental-health care.

Not emergency care

This is not appropriate for emergencies. If there is immediate risk (self-harm, harm to others, or severe crisis), call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department.

Consent & involvement

For clients under 18, parent/guardian consent is required. We clarify goals, boundaries, and the right balance of teen privacy with parent responsibility.

Scope: skills + routines

Sessions emphasize practical tools (guided attention, calming techniques, mental rehearsal, routines, and self-hypnosis practice) that are appropriate for teens.

  • Ages 12+ only: we do not provide services for children under age 12.
  • Teens remain aware and in control during hypnosis. It is guided focus, not unconsciousness.
  • If your teen has complex clinical needs, we can coordinate with (or refer to) a licensed provider where appropriate.

FAQs

Teen Hypnotherapy FAQs (Ages 12+)

These are the questions parents and teens ask most often. For a clear recommendation for your situation, the Discovery Consultation is the best next step.

Q What is teen hypnotherapy, in simple terms?

It’s guided focus plus coaching. We use structured attention, imagery, and suggestion to help teens practice calmer responses, stronger concentration, and healthier routines. The emphasis is skill-building—not “mind control.”

Q Will my teen be aware and in control?

Yes. Hypnosis is a focused state—your teen can hear, think, and choose. We don’t force anything. The goal is to help your teen build self-regulation and confidence using their own attention and practice.

Q Do parents need to attend sessions?

For clients under 18, parent/guardian consent is required. We typically begin with a structured check-in to align on goals and boundaries, then work directly with the teen in an age-appropriate way. We also balance teen privacy with parent responsibility.

Q How many sessions will my teen need?

It depends on the goal, complexity, and follow-through between sessions. During the Discovery Consultation, we clarify the target outcome, safety/scope, and the most appropriate structure (including whether a structured protocol is a fit).

Q What ages do you work with?

This service is for teens ages 12+. We do not provide services for children under age 12.

Q Is hypnotherapy a substitute for medical or psychological treatment?

No. Hypnotherapy can support skills, coping, and behavior change, but it does not replace diagnosis, medical treatment, or psychological care. If you suspect urgent risk or immediate danger, contact local emergency services right away.

Q What if my teen has complex needs or is already in therapy?

That’s common. In the Discovery Consultation we clarify fit, scope, and how to proceed safely. If appropriate, hypnotherapy can be used as complementary support alongside existing professional care (with proper boundaries).
